Camp 928 - a gathering of Porsche 928 owners in Northeast USA

June 16-18, 2017 / Adirondack Mountains

Fun Runs

Note: we're offering a choice of routes. Since each one has an early lunch stop, you'll be choosing a restaurant, too. This way, we'll avoid the chaos of a big parade of cars, and slamming any particular restaurant. All routes end up at the same place - the front lawn of the town hall for the 928 Car Show.

Newcomb Wilderness Loop

81 miles. Lunch at the amazing Sporty’s Iron Duke Saloon in Minerva. You’ll cross the Hudson, pass through North Creek, crossing the Hudson again. Thence to Newcomb, on a very nice curvy road. Rest at the park in town, the head back, but turning left onto Blue Ridge Road. This will intersect with I-87, but the southbound ramp may be closed. Go south on Route 9 to the next one, head south to Exit 25 and then to Main Street and the 928 Car Show. PDF ride sheet: Newcomb_Fun_Run.pdf

Hague - Ticonderoga - Paradox Loop

67 miles. Lunch at the Wind-Chill Factory south of Ticonderoga (outside seating only). You’ll travel east on Route 8, past The Hub, past Brant Lake, up and over Graphite Mountain, and into Hague. Turn north towards Ticonderoga. The Wind-Chill Factory will be on the right. 270 degrees around the circle in “Ti”, then left on Route 74. Some nice twists as you pass by Paradox Lake. Hop onto the Northway and head south to Exit 25 and then to Main Street and the 928 Car Show. PDF ride sheet: Hague-Ti-Paradox_Loop.pdf

Hague - Ticonderoga - Moriah Loop

90 miles, an extended version of the above loop. 270 degrees around the circle in “Ti”, then continue all the way to Lake Champlain. If you follow your nose, favoring the west, you’ll find yourself on a road with a series of names. Lots of curves, a little bumpy but OK. When the curves stop, go south on Route 9. The first southbound ramp onto I-87 has been closed, so may have to continue on Route 9 to the next one. Head south to Exit 25 and then to Main Street and the 928 Car Show. Hudson River - Lake George - Tongue Mountain

65 miles. Lunch at George Henry’s in Warrensburg. You’ll drive along the Upper Hudson River, including the Ice Meadows, an interesting place to botanists yada yada. Look for George Henry’s on the right in Warrensburg. You’ll continue to Lake George, then go north through Bolton Landing, up and over Tongue Mountain, then turn west at Hague. Up and over Graphite Mountain, then along Brant Lake, past The Hub across the pond, then to Main Street and the 928 Car Show. PDF ride sheet: Hudson_-_Tongue_Mountain_Loop.pdf
